The line to get inside was a little long. The stained glass windows were amazing. Also lots of fun facts.

Make sure you read up about it before getting there as very little information. Look at the film about the cleaning and the restorations of the windows - very interesting

Gorgeous cathedral of almost all glass. One of the few cathedrals with an admission fee. However, you walk into a "lower" cathedral (which is cool for the original paintings) but you need to take a spiral stairway up to the glass cathedral. I saw several...More

My first experience to Sainte-Chapelle was a few years ago when we went to a Vivaldi concert one evening (remarkable by the way). Although I appreciated the beauty of the cathedral, on this visit seeing it by day was a totally different experience. We were...More

Very commercialized - whole first floor is a gift shop and entrance fee is a bit too high. It is quite small and if there's a guided group, you won't be able see past them unless they leave.

This is the most beautiful room I have ever seen. Any trip to Paris should include Sainte Chapelle and the nearby Notre Dame of course.

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,
