Stunning when visiting during sunset. The sunset gives the dome an orange glow. Be warned though that many people like to sit along its stairs to watch Paris light up so I can imagine it can get crowded. Walking up the stairs instead of taking...More

We came here on a crowded hour and still loved the view. The basilique is worth a peep with spectacular views of the city beneath you.

A beautiful building in a beautiful setting. A charming walk up to it or you can go by a cable car. Amazing view over Paris from the top.

I really appreciate this church for a number of reasons. You have one of the best views of the city just outside of the church. You don't have to pay to go inside. But be prepared to either pay to take a train up the...More

Loved the respectful silence and peace inside, and the brilliant views from the climb to the top. Unfortunately the vaults weren't open at the time we visited, but it was still very enjoyable.

300 spiral steps but worth the view. Beautiful church and free but you pay for the dome. Would still recommend though.

This site and its surrounding area was breathtaking. From the moment you spot the church from below, to walking up the street to the church and until you catch your breathe after climbing all those steps. The best part is that there is no admission...More

The Basilica itself is wonderful. It is probably the most popular and must-see tourist attraction after the Eiffel, the Arc, and Notre Dame. Easy to get to from the M2 metro line, just up the street from the Anvers stop. There are a decent amount...More

The metro tickets are valid for 2 hours from first activation, so your train ticket to Anvers will probably get you up the funicular, maybe down too.

It is free to get in. Six euros to go up the tower. If you wish to light a candle the suggested amount is three euros.
