This is the place that is famous for the padlocks on the fence of the bridge placed there by lovers. It is incredible to see the sheer numbers of Locks.

Nice area. Watch out for scammers though. Someone tried to steal money from my husband pretending to do a guessing magic game. We weren't participating but heading down the stairs for a boat cruise and these 3 people- 2 men and a woman- tried to...More

We stopped along the bridge on our way to do some shopping in Paris. There are so many locks along the bridge. It's incredible to see. You couldn't even tell they were actually all individual locks until getting much closer. There was a man selling...More

This is really a nice old bridge, even if the name suggests otherwise (but it was the newest when it was built some centuries ago). It's especially nice to walk down to the island and the small park on the tip of it to have...More

Walk across this oldest bridge in Paris to see up and down The Seine. Also take a quick look at all the locks at one end of the bridge. Ridiculous.

You don't have to go out of your way to see the Pont-Neuf. It is centrally located near many tourist spots. The bridge itself is perfectly nice, but not spectacular, but it is historically important and also near the launch point for some of the...More

One of the things I loved about our hotel was how close we were to this bridge. While its history certainly makes it a great bridge, its location on the tail end of the Ile de Cite located between the Louve and the Conciergerie makes...More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

The Eiffel tower is far away and on such a night most of the roads will be busy and probably if there are a lot of people near the tower the area will be closed. Best bets are Louvre, Concord, the city island. Maybe within... More
