We happened upon this Gothic church when checking out Les Halles. It is not mentioned in tourists books so not many people there. The pipe organ was beautiful. I like this church much more than Notre Dame, which is full of people. A lovely church...More

This Gothic church in the revitalised les Halles area of Paris, is smaller than Notre Dame but brighter inside than the famous cathedral and without the crowds. The windows are brightly ornamented in colour-filled stained glass and ornate brass wall sconces and chandeliers add gilded...More

This cathedral is not mentioned in most of the tourist books or www pages because there are more known ones. However I think this is one of the most beautiful and stunning and really worth of visit

This church is Gothic in design and took 105 years to build (1532-1637) and its interior decoration is more renaissance of this time. The outside architecture will keep your camera clicking for at least 5 minutes. Inside there are a ring of many side chapels...More

This is a beautiful Gothic church close to Les Halles, with tall columns and vaulted ceiling. There are many shrines within. It is a very imposing and inspiring building with a depth of history. I really liked the tableau of the old Les Halles market.

We only visited one church during a recent weekend trip to Paris and I'm so pleased it was this one. Beautiful vaulted roof, the enormous pipes, fantastic stained glass. There was a man removing cloth covers from the hundreds of chandeliers, lamps and side lights...More

This church is well worth a visit for it's architecture both exterior and interior. I read that the church has the second largest pipe organ in Paris. They have regularly scheduled concerts for the pipe organ and choir. We went to an organ concert at...More

It appears that each Sunday at 5:30 they have an organ concert. Our concert lasted 30 minutes. It was well attended - so get there early. Sit towards the front so you can turn around to see the organist play at the keyboard.

The church’s reputation was strong enough at the time for it to be chosen as the location for a young Louis XIV to receive his First Communion. Mozart also chose the sanctuary as the location for his mother’s funeral. the façade is Gothic, while the interior is in the Renaissance...More
