Paid about 80 Euros to ride from Paris to Zurich. I booked my tickets ahead of time online. Trip was under 4 hours. My seat was power plug equipped and the train had free wifi. Bathrooms were clean and they sold drinks and snacks. This train gets up and goes. One stretch we must have been rolling close to 200kph.... More

We travelled from Basel to Paris in first class on TGV. Nothing about the ride was first class, not meriting the higher price. The shabby train cars did not have WiFi. The food service was coffee, a croissant, and a piece of fruit for a four-hour train ride over lunchtime. For the last 1.5 hours from Dijon, second class passengers... More

We traveled from Paris to Lyon on the TGV and were very happy with the short, two-hour trip. The train was smooth, I mean no clickity-clack like most American trains, and had almost no sway. My only complaint, is the sudden pressure changes when entering tunnels or passing other trains. Perhaps this was more noticeable for me, since I have... More

Traveled by rail from Germany to Paris first class. I cannot compare other classes of travel. First class is awesome. Large comfortable seats. Dining car. Euros required in the food car as they don't accept US cash. Train is fast, smooth and quiet. The French countryside is quaint. Small groups of houses surrounding a church steeple. This is a great... I went from Paris Gare Lyon to Marseilles St. Charles. And the 800 Km journey took me exactly 3 hours and 17 minutes. That is really high speed and the seats are very comfortable too. I enjoyed the journey and looked at the beautiful countryside through the glass window but it is difficult to take good pictures because of the... More
