My husband and I shared a small apartment for three weeks on this street. We enjoyed stepping out the front door to numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes, as well as two bakeries, two flower stores, a produce stand, and all sorts of shops.

When visiting Paris with the beautiful and talented Mrs D (Mme D?), Rue St Honore is a much more pleasant thoroughfare than the thoroughly touristy Champs Elysees.

Today the Rue St. Honore is one of the places the very upscale shopping in Paris. The store windows are worth a look for the beauty of the objects presented, but also for the extravagance of their decoration. Yet this street has an incredible story: The Rue St. Honore is a very old way of Paris, extending westwards the decumanus... More

Rue St. Honore runs from Rue de Pont Neuf on the east to Rue Royale on the west, where the name changes to Rue du Faubourg Honore, so-called because this section used to be outside the city walls. I prefer Rue St. Honore, because it holds smaller boutiques than its extension, which features big fashion houses, such as Valentino and... More

On a recent trip I walked along the Rue St Honore which had very nice shops and restaurants, recommend walking this area. The only negative aspect of strolling along the street is that one would pass many people smoking cigarettes... second hand smoke is unhealthy.

Traditionally one of the most luxury streets of Paris. We walked along Rue St Honore a couple of times during our last visit. Maybe the most interesting and unfortunate thing was that, unlike in the past, in the side streets of Rue St Honore, homeless people were struggling for their own existence. Just steps away from some of the most... More

We were there for the Louvre and our nearby hotel, not for the shopping. But of course we had to walk up and down Rue St Honore checking out the restaurants and the cake shops which are numerous. We were definitely not there for the shopping, but the culture. But it was early February, the Sales were still on, so... More
