We really loved this place and we think that everybody who love modern (jazz) music should visit the jazz club / restaurant when they come to the French capital

My evening at Duc des Lombards made my night. I stumbled upon the scheduled performance of Freddy Cole's quartet (Nat King Cole's brother). Amazing nigh. Club is small and cozy. They could have opened the doors earlier though and the coat checks done faster (but the staff was very nice), so guests didn't have to stand in line outside in... More

Fabulous small jazz spot in the heart of Paris. We saw Christian Muthspiel quartet with the famous Steve Swallow guesting. Great performance in the perfect environment. Very small and intimate. There are no bad seats. We didn't eat there, but the food looked good. Drinks were just right. Service was friendly and non invasive to the show. I forgot what... More

We bought tickets for a show by Dida, a jazz guitarist. An early arriving crowd. We came about 20 minutes before the show and were toward the back end of the line. That meant our party of five was seated upstairs in the balcony. Ended up being fine with us, although it got a bit warm upstairs. Enjoyed the show... More

The Duc being an institution, their main asset is a pretty good program. Many top level artists play there. On the downside, there is the 2-set formula where you have to leave after the first set and they replace the whole room with a new set of customers. The direction has probably decided they would at least make some money... More

We were really looking forward to a jazz night in Paris and I'd found this place and decided on this one following other TA reviews. We arrived early to queue for entrance and good seats (we'd bought tickets earlier in the evening, so could go straight through). We were shown to great seats at the front and we ordered a... More

Jazz fans, look no further. Duc des Lombards hosts incredible musicians, and while not a cheap ticket at €28 each, it's worth the price of admission for the entertainment you receive. Low lit & lovely, a wonderful night out in Paris for any jazz lover.

My husband and I were on our way to other jazz club when we passed Duc des Lombards. The vibe seemed chill so we decided to take a look. The girl at the front door was very welcoming and we didn't have to pay a cover. One set was just ending when we got there so it was a bit... More

The area in front of the stage is small so I suggest reserving preferred seating. There are seats way off on the side that I don't suggest if you wish to hear and see the performers. We had a great night there eating, drinking wine and hearing great jazz. The French quintet Florian Pellissier was there that night.

Second time in Paris and second time at the Duc de Lombards. It was €30 for a ticket. I got the ticket during the early show. Because the crowd was small that night the lady let me in. I caught the end of the first set and then the evening set. Worth every penny!! Great atmosphere. Very intimate. Friendly staff.... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
