It took us three nights to experience this truly local little nightclub. This is not a touristy place, but what appears to be the hangout for the neighborhood (down a back alley). Arrived on Sunday late afternoon just as the frenzy of singing, overflowing into the alley, was ending. I thought, wow, this is wild, with families with their strollers... More

This is a great place with simple but great food. The live music makes a superb evening. Be sure to make reservations, or hope to be lucky they have a table free.

We were in the neighborhood and opened trip advisor to find a French restaurant. This came almost on top and surprisingly it has an almost a family atmosphere and the food is amazing. The soup followed by fillet Angus (to die for) and the mouse chocolate was melting in the mouth. What a great meal and excellent service.

Absolutely loved it! Had the Terrine de Ma and the pork with mustard sauce (sorry don't remember the French name). Our server was cute trying to translate the menu. There was music around nine and it was very nice. True Paris experience! Loved it!

Our hotel was near the restaurant and as we were feeling a bit under the weather we decided that rather than brave a metro ride and a walk down a hectic street to see the famous Buddah Bar Nr Concorde we would try a night of French music. We didn't have any food but turned up at 9 to see... More

We came back after having been there 6 years ago and were not disappointed. Good show with young and enthusiastic artists. Food is basic French, but you get what you pay for. We shall return.

I went to this place with fairly low expectations about the food and service, but expecting some great entertainment. This place sunk to new lows on each front. On entering, we were "greeted" by a wrinkled old women who looked like she's enjoyed more than a few drinks in her time. We pushed through the jammed tables to our seat.... More

Was taken here on a 'business' night out. Thank you so much, beats the usual night out hands down. Quirky, welcoming, relaxing, fun and entertaining. Food quick, cheap, basic but great. Wine and beer well priced and great also. Round the evening off with off the wall, real music. Saw David Lafore, hardly understood a French word he said or... More

We went around ten p.m.and arrived just in time for the show- there's one almost every day. Small, great atmosphere, and surprisingly good music. If you're looking for a calm, pleasant late evening excursion and willing to hear unfamiliar music, it's a gem.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
