The Pavillons de Bercy-Musée des Arts Forains house one of the largest collections of entertainment and fairground art's objects. They are located in ancient wine warehouses built by a Gustave Eiffel apprentice in the end of the 19th century. Discover the site and its four venues: Théatre du Merveilleux (Thetre of Marvels), Salons Vénitiens (Venetian Rooms), Théâtre de Verdure (Vegetal outdoor area) and the Musée des Arts Forains (Museum àof Fairground Art), all displayed with themes such as Cabinet of curiosities, Venetian carnival, Extraordinary gardens and funfairs of the Belle Epoque (End of the 19th century). This private museum is opende throughout the year, only by apointement in order to experiment the spirit of the place in a lively and participative tour. The guides takes the visitor on an out of time journey, enables them to ride carousels and listen to an automaton show. The Pavillons de Bercy are opened to visit throughout the year only by appointment. And exceptionnally without booking twice a year during the European Heritage Days and Festival du Merveilleux. All the venues can also be rented for private events.

Interesting museum, one should probably rent the audio guide in order to learn more about the exhibits, though one will probably spend more time here. One could spend more than just a couple of hours here, we did only have some hours.

I absolutely loved this experience. This private collection is partly opened to public. A comedian will guide through the magic with fun, music, show. So nice to be thrown in this rich and amazing world. Highly recommend it!!!!

If you like spectacle, arts, and fantasy, it's the place. There are some shows and story reading for children, but it's as fun for adults!

The museum is located in ancient wine warehouses and teh atmosphere is really special. During the Festival du Merveilleux (end of the year) there are different activities proposed: a concert with excentric musicians, clowns doing magic, tap dance show...etc Kids love it! They also enjoyed riding the old horse or bike carousels, playing the horse or boat race, and eating... More

We visited the museum during the end of year holidays when they have the Festival du Merveilleux. It was an enjoyable and unique experience into the world of European fair rides. Not to big, nice size, lots of entertainment. Great for children! Not sure how it would play out during the rest of the year.

A very different museum and not what you expect to see in the middle of Paris. Had a 3 years old and a 12years old and they both loved it. It's open without reservation between the 26th December and 2nd January for the "Festival du Merveilleux" Entrance was €14 per adult & €6 per child under 12. Gives a free... More

This is the most amazing exhibition of restored carnival games and carousels. It truly is like nothing else I have ever seen. Lovingly restored; exquisite. We walked from the centre of Paris and passed through many average neighbourhoods which was worth the trip. My favourite museum of our trip.

Located in the newly renovated Bercy Village area, these old wine storage warehouses have become a tourist and locals hit. Shops, restaurants and this fun, interesting, creative, collection of circus props and rides is truly a great afternoon adventure. The attraction is open only on a very limited schedule to the public. Be careful to check their web site for... More

Splendid chance to be kids again in the wonderland that this place is. Great games and good food and wine as well as an indescribable feast of colour and form outside and in. Loved it!

I like finding museums that are a bit different rather than the stock standard, and this one certainly did not disappoint! The tour at this time of year is in French (as advised on their website), however the tour guide did some quick summaries in English (I didn't catch her name, but she was fantastic - even when I could...
