Macarons are a must in Paris! They're also everywhere, so deciding where to purchase them is a struggle. I passed by Lenotre a few times during my trip, and the beautiful macaron display in the window slowed my step each time. I'd planned to buy macarons on my last morning to bring back to the US, and by that time,... More

I recently had a fabulous time at Ecole Lenotre, on the Champs Elysee in Paris. I attended 2 classes, Pates en Patisserie and Petits Fours Frais. Both classes were in French (I speak French fluently) and given by professional, friendly and very knowledgeable chefs. There were 8 of us in one class and only 3 in the other, which made... More

I´ve took Croissant and Pain au Chocolat classes. The teacher was really good, very helpful. There were only 6 people in the class, which was really nice. The teacher could pay attention to everyone. In the end, we took home baked goods as well as our own pastry. Some students didn´t speak French and that was a problem for them.... More

At the beginning of the class I informed the chef that I don't speak nor understand French language. He was kind enough to try speaking in English while demonstrating the lesson, but oh, the recipe was written in French... For the first macaron recipe, it was the chef who did all the work from mixing to baking. Yes it looks... More

I have completed this Master Class of 8 months long in 2010. It was expensive and frustratingly USELESS to me. Beyond all the doubts, if you are career switcher, it will give you an insight what you want to switch to. But be careful and prudent enough, the chefs say that only 2% of students stay in this industry, and... More

On our last trip to Paris we added a special event for each of our 3 children. Rose, the foodie and Chef was elated when she realized she would be taking part in a cooking class for kids in Paris. There were about a dozen kids in the class. No one spoke English and our daughter knows only basic french.... More

I took 3 classes at Ecole Lenotre, and they were all fantastic! Millefeuille, L'opera, and Framboisier. 2 of the classes were in french, and L'opera class was thought in English. The classes were all full on. The instructor did some of the difficult part, but he would also ask us to repeat what he did on our own, in all... More

This class was a little disappointing. It was hard to show you how to make macarons with 8 people all trying to learn how to make 1 batch of dough. The instructor did most of the work and the class was pretty expensive. If you don't mind more of a demo class then this would be okay. Also the classes... More
