I came here to watch a one-man-show: "How to be a Parisian in One Hour" of Olivier Giraud. We found the show hilarious and the atmosphere of the theatre was nice. The only thing I did not really appreciate was the size of the seats: the minimum possible.

I must first give them credit for great customer service. We were not able to make it to the show we booked due to flight cancellation, but they accommodated us the following night. We went to see "How to Become a Parisian in One Hour." I did not think the show was particularly funny; although I would say that there... More

We were a party of 4 to see "The Scottish Syndrome". Our friends had bought "choice" tickets by internet in Loge A 2eme categorie @ 50Eur. /ticket. We were astonished to find out that our seats were actually extra chairs which had been stuffed in the loge as a second row, so 8 pers. in total in a tiny space... More

We came over specifically to see this stand up comedian Olivier Giraud and 'How to become Parisian in one hour' We were not disappointed, multinational audience, including some Parisians, laughing along to his take on behaviour in the city. Well worth seeing.

Olivier Giraud presents an hour of side splitting observational comedy in English... teaching audiences "How to become a Parisian in just one hour." This man is so talented and funny, with an amazing sense of timing. I can honestly say that I haven't laughed as much in many months. The audience comprised people of all ages from all over the... For a great night out with great laughter! Olivier really new how to make fun of parisians in a nice way. The theater was cozy and acoustics really good. The price for the ticket was well worth it, good value. Plenty of places to eat around the area, so make it a night out!

Theater inaugurated in 1878 Boulevard of the Italians after 2 episodes including fire, before settling in 1921 Boulevard Poissonniere in its current location. The programming is very good, such as "The Scottish syndrome" played by Thierry Lhermitte particular (and 3 other really good players). Recommended.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
