The Hamlet was the highlight of of the day. You will see signs directing you towards the Hamlet from Grand Trianon, but they may not be the most direct routing. The walk should take 10 minutes. We followed the trail signs and although pretty, it...More

This area is one of the highlights but is a long way to walk so take the road train costing 8 euros return. You need about 2 hours here. Don’t take a coach tour as you will not have enough time.

The Trianons were great, but Marie Antoinette's Hamlet is just like something out of an English fairytale. Beautifully restored. It's just a short walk from the Petit Trianon and seemed to be less visited. Marie had tonnes of earth moved to create the lakes and...More

Arriving at about 4:30 PM in July was just not enough time to see the Palace - partly because the queues are rather long. The grounds are massive even with a whole day you would struggle to get around. As it was there was just...More

Whilst it’s lovely and very quaint, it is very similar to much of the Palace itself so if pushed for time then don’t sacrifice something else to go here.

I got to go back to Versailles and this time I decided to explore the gardens, the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and Marie Antoinette’s Estate. The palace gardens alone are so huge, it took me several hours to wander through! All throughout the gardens classical...More

It takes about 25 minutes to stroll to the Trianon palaces and Queens Hamlet. Walk, don’t take the petit train, you can soak up the ambience and scale of the Chateau grounds and gardens. The Trianon Palaces open at noon, my absolute favourite was the...More

These two afjecnt palaces built after Louise 14th are impressive though less so than the main Chateau. A visit to the farm of Mary Antoianette leads you back over 250 years.

No wonder the Queens of France wanted to get away from the suffocating atmosphere of the Chateau. A beautiful house and grounds.

I don't know exactly because the Trianon is a separate building. But I would say the gardens are open as long the Versailles gardens are open. So all day long till late evening. M.

Hello, You can rent the golf cart on the North terrace. The terrace is located behind the chateaux, on the garden side. You will also need a valid drivers license -- US works and it costs 32 euros an hour. Have a great... More
