After visiting the chateau we began our exploration of the gardens. Finding this lovely chapel overlooking a lake was just delightful Beautiful statute and architecture in an amazing garden.

It was the little antique temple of love of Marie-Antoinette, in the park, (construction by an architecte in 1722), later on transformed in a little theatre, Marie Antoinette was on scene her self and with success.

This temple is positioned in Marie-Antoinettes English Gardens, which is more of a 'natural' style of garden then the meticulously organised French gardens. So the location is more rustic in it's beauty, and the temple quietly peeks out between it's lush green surroundings. The statue...More

Such hard work and dedication went into the design and quality of this temple. The statue inside of Cupid is done very well, and the view of the small river gives the temple a very relaxing view of its surrounding park. A hidden gem in...More

This structure is part of the gardens at the Palace of Versailles. Very impressive on a nice day. You have to explore to find it.

This is n the back of Versailles. It is much less crowded back here because of the long walk to get there. I recommend taking the time to walk to the back.

This is located in the gardens behind the petite Trianon. You need to take some kind of transport to get there and have a ticket to get in.

Being a romantic, and an architect, this was one of the things I most wanted to see at the Palace grounds. I loved it and being able to stand where so many influential people once stood was surreal

I can't remember the exact location of the Temple of Love. If it's in the estate of Marly it's currently from 7:30 to 21:30 every day at the moment for the summer season. The park itself is from 7 to 20:00.
