We spent the night in Carcassonne so visiting the castle during the day and taking pictures was beautiful but walking around the ruins after all the day trip people had left was awe inspiring. The lighting is lovely and the weather was perfect.

Wonderful ruins with a story to match. Kate Mosse renewed the phenomena... Some of the castles are extremely difficult to reach, but well worth the trek...bring good hiking shoes!

Great few hours spent through the castle. Great for, kids and families. There are lots of shops, cafes and restaurants to keep everyone occupied. Highly recommend a few hours here.

Rows of stone towers surrounded the castle. Try to see them after dusk when the lights are on. This is the only shot you need.

It was very heavily geared towards tourism, but well worth the trip! The restaurants were excellent. The feel of history was everywhere.
