This school museum is special, very much so to someone of my age who started school as a five year old in 1940. This was stepping back into my first classroom, with double bench desks, ink wells, pens, nibs and erasers ! Well worth the visit.

Nice little museum. Trip back in time. You can explain your children how education changed recently. My son loved (and still is doing it after few days) writing using penholder and ink. Children for free. Adults 3,50 EUR.

We passed the museum a couple of times as we wandered the lanes and alleys of the old city, and on our third passing we decided to give it a go. The museum is not that big but has some fascinating things on display, and...More

Lovely to visit this place as our connections link to education and it was lovely to go back in time and sit at the old desks. Well worth a visit to reminisce.

The idea of the museum is itself great. If you are old, you will recognize some things. If you are young, it is worth to take a look at it. It may even help to understand many things.

There's not too many places that have a museum about a school but here there is one! And it is generally interesting look back in time at the French school system of the age - interesting enough!

Well worth spending half an hour in this small museum which depicts a typical French village primary school. All ages were taught in one class with desk sizes appropriate to the age group. Details of the curriculum were interesting. I wish I had learnt as...More

This little museum is well worth the modest entry fee. On view is a wealth of textbooks, original exercise books, registers, reports, school furniture, and teaching equipment. Notwithstanding that it represents the French education system around the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there is...More
