It is a very old cathedral, not the best that I have seem but still has this special spiritual atmosphere even if you are not religious. Carcassonne doesn't have too many things to see besides the old town so this church is a place to...More

Hard to give a review of the cathedral as it was under renovation and there was no access. It could only be viewed on the inside through a partially opened door.

Although quite small the cathedral is well worth a visit. The stained glass is incredible as are a couple of the chapels and statues. When we were there there was a 4 man choral group singing Russian liturgical psalms. On our second visit there was...More

Despite the crowds in the Cathedral there is still a very calm atmosphere and it was a pleasure to be able to listen to the Russian Orthodox A Cappella singers using the acoustics to great advantage. It was very moving
