Lovely garden

We enjoyed an afternoon stroll through the Jardins de la Fontaine - ponds (with fish) canals, Temple of Diana - it is really quite a beautiful park.

We travelled with our kids and wondered how a visit to a garden would be with them. It was great. Our kids ran a lot and we had to leave before we explored a lot of it. We visited in January, and we can only imagine how beautiful it must get in Spring and Summertime. A must-see if you are... More

I'd heard about the Roman attractions in the city, but not much more, and had worked way up to the Tour Magne through the back streets so the Jardins came as a bit of a delightful surprise. What a joy to sit by the half moon pool and dip my feet in (because I'm a proper rebel) and wander along... More

The center of Nimes The place where the romans tapped the fresh water spring which allowed the development of the city in the days of Emperor Augustus. Long before the building of the acqueduc via "le pont du Gard". Today, beautiful water canals and gardens in the middle of the city, and still there the roman buildind "temple de Diane".

It must be simply amazing come spring time. While we visited in December, the sights were still spectacular. Take your time walking through on your way up to the tower.

Nimes is a very small town but it is well preserved and has many things to see and enjoy by walk. All of them Roman historic sites.

A beautiful park with flowing water through it and hundreds of fish. The park also contains the Temple of Diana and the Tour Magne.

Absolutely beautiful gardens. We have walked from Tour Magne down to the Temple of Diane which is part of the gardens. We were quite lucky that the weather was great. It is a great day out.

This was just a lovely place to walk around. The running water was so peaceful and the statues are interesting. Great place to visit and walk around, could be very romantic.
