Simple, strong, elegant.

This cathedral is a real must see in Cahors. The cloisters are well preserved, the chapels beautifully preserved with a fantastic spiritual atmosphere.

If you are going to do the Camino, this is a place you must visit. MKe sure you check out the cloisters which are to the right near the altar

Roman catholic cathedral from 12th. Century. Just in the middle of the old part of Cahors surraunded of small and pedestrian streets. Declared by the UNESCO World heritage monument. Quiet place to visit with no much turists inside. Good indoor ilumination.

Theis isn't the most attractive catherderal I have ever seen, but it is under refurbishment and there are some interesting modern stained glass windows.

Guides to the region usually comment on the architecture (a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic) or the stained glass windows (a mixture of old and new), but for me the highlight was time in the cloisters. There is still a lovely sense of peace and contemplation here.

Well, after viewing the Pont Valentre there was only really one more attraction to see - the cathedral. The roads have been built up close to the cathedral and so there is not much opportunity to view the splendour of the architecture and the stonework and masonry. The entrance to the cathedral features amazing carvings and inside the cathedral is... More

A beautiful medieval cathedral with great architecture and a mixture of ancient and very modern stained glass windows. The best part is the cloisters - a lovely peaceful place with more great architecture and interesting stone carvings, plus a fantastic view of the exterior of the cathedral.

One of the key attractions in Cahors. Make sure that you do the Cloitre (free) and walk around the back of the block that the church is in to do the secret garden.

From the outside the cathedral is very funny (with a funny roof). From the inside it was terrific. Great time spent in this cathedral, and then we went to see a funny clock near the riverside which work with marble.
