Jean Jaunes should be better known among Europeans. I would encourage anyone interested in 20th century history and political history to visit his museum. The only criticism is that very little information is available in a language other than French. I would advise the museum to offer translations in German, English and/or Spanish.

Spend time reading some of the incredibly interesting documents. Not easy for the disabled. Wonderful on a rainy day if nothing else to do

Jean-Jaures was a seminal figure in the history of European politics - he could reasonably be considered the founder of modern democratic socialism. Castres is proud of him as a favorite son and this museum is devoted to his life and work. For those of us who care about history, human rights, workers' rights or peace this is an important...
