One of my favourite churches I visited in Europe. Because it’s in Toulouse. The body of fist bishop in c250 Saint-Sernin is buried in this church. It’s UNESCO World Heritage Site and largest remaining Romanesque building in Europe.

The high ceilings are very imposing as you enter. Beautiful, long stained glass windows. It was very solemn during my afternoon visit. I did not get to visit the crypt as it was closed. Close to the Capitole.

We visited on a chilly weekday morning. The site is enormous. The Romanesque cloisters made for good strolling.

Lovely building externally in a quiet little square , lots of little alleyways off to take you back to town. Free entry , not a great deal to see , but a place for reflection.

Yes I just saw it yesterday at the Toulouse-Matabiau gare, it is outside on the left side after you exit.
