One of the remaining old city gates of the city. Marking the conquering by Napoleon III, the gate is decorated with heralding angels and Roman gods. We passed if on our city tour and saw it from the top of the Beffroi de Lille.

A nice gate to visit. Near the belfry and there is also a good cafe on the corner opposite to take refreshments or lunch.

It is worth the walk to see this beautiful gateway. It is not far from the city centre and there is a large park just south of it as well. If you are heading to the Beffroi and city hall it is right there.

Worth a look-see. The gate is one of two (I think) left standing and is a miniature Arche de Triomphe.

It's right next to the belfry at the Town Hall so worth a look, particularly in the early morning sun.

Fantastic architecture, if you get a map from your hotel make sure you include this possibly on route to the Art Gallery.

A good item to twin with a visit to the Belfry, the arch is very impressive, in really good condition and interesting to have a 10 minute walk around to see the commemorative figures on the arch celebrating the city victory.

This place doesn't really show much. It is right by the tower, that's why we went to see it. It has pretty garden hedges surrounding it but isn't really worth a whole separate visit.
