This local museum surprised me in both its profressional presentation and content. Both are excellent. There are Roman-era remains, paintings, lace, pottery and more. Buy the combination ticket when you enter the Bayeux Tapastry Museum and stop in when you visit the cathedral.

A fantastic museum, well designed and beautifully laid out. The lace exhibition was exquisite. Something for everyone and not too large. There were very few people there on our visit, it deserves to be busier. Excellent.

This museum traced the history of art in Europe from prehistory to the 20th century. It is housed in a former Bishop's Palace near the Cathedral. Its porcelain and lace exhibits are extensive. There are touch-screens with quizzes for children.

This museum gives overall picture of art from the Bayeux region. I was impressed about the way the art was displayed within the different rooms. A must visit
