This museum covers the entire WWII experience. Great displays and modern rooms. One of the best videos is the side by side battle prep, so you can see multiple perspectives. Lovely gardens and good restaurant. Easy to find and free parking.

This truly is world class: one of the best museums I have ever visited. We spent seven hours there. Very comprehensive, balanced and great use of different media to keep you interested.

We spent 7 days in Normandy and visited many of the beaches and several of the museums (7 or 8). This is by far the best. It is very large and will take about 4 hours. If you only have time for one museum, then...More

I especially enjoyed seeing the artifacts that depicted life in Caen during the occupation and the liberation. The staff was very helpful.

We visited with 2 teenage boys and both were captivated throughout the visit. Prepare to easily spend 4 or 5 hours here; there is so much to see and hear. The German Bunker and the American and Canadian gardens were a highlight along with the...More

This museum was excellent! The tutorials were well done and presented. Sometimes, however, there was confusion with the handheld tutorials and the visual displays, especially if it is crowed with tourists. However, it was truly an educational experience that I would recommend to anyone interested...More

We took some friends when we had a long wait for a ferry. It was cheaper for older folks and despite being world war 2 buffs our friends had never been. We had 3 hours before closing and that was nothing like enough time. They...More
