Fantastic 14th century clock and bells. €7.00 entree great value. Audio commentary in different languages. Well worth a visit. Great views from the top of the bell tower. Small spiral staircase to get up in the tower may not be suitable for poor mobility.

This is a main commercial street. There are all kinds of different shops and restaurants. There are absolutely beautiful examples of Norman architecture. This is a historic area that has been well preserved. Great for window shopping!

Old part of Rouen is mostly (but not to all) traffic free. The old part of Rouen is fantastic. I thought half-timber framed houses were mainly English but the French have many towns with fine examples and Rouen have the best. Leave at least one...More

One of prettiest streets in Rouen, worthy to walk by when going to/from cathedral. And pay attention to the clock.

Lots of little shops along the way for shopping or browsing. The old "Nordic" architecture of the city is warm and welcoming.

Rouen is a beautiful french town to stroll around, particularly the old quarter with its timber houses and astronomical clock.

We are from Asheville, NC have daughters in Greenville, SC. Is it hard to see Rouen on own? We don't speak French! Thought of maybe taking the Petit Train? Any ideas for us? We thought of trying to find a tour guide, there are 4 of us. Thanks, Mary and Jim
