Unlike the streets around the Gros Horloge, the houses here are home to many different authentic shops selling local produce (honey, candies, flowers, etc.) that make for a charming street view. The 16th century houses are in an excellent state and even though the streets...More

Hey beautiful and charming city. Rouen is the capital of Normandy and is a must-see city. It is a blend of old and new. Contemporary department stores, as well as winding cobblestone streets with quaint shops. There are many historical sites to see.

Going to Rouen was a last minute decision and thank goodness we explored the city. Gorgeous winding tiny old streets. Unique shops and cafes. Wish I had more time to explore the city center.

One of the must visit places in Rouen, capital of Normandy region. Cobbled stones and lots of shops in the old town. We arrived on a Sunday and there were stalls along the roads. Pleasant area with old buildings and lots of photo opportunities here.

Rouen's old city Centre is a charming mix of new and old. The contrast between present day and post WW2 damage is amazing.

This area is the Old town of Rouen and is worth visiting and wandering the streets and the old building. No straight streets here! Lots of good photo ops!

You will likely not need to. We were just there with large crowds in early July, and got right in with a wait of maybe 15 minutes. August is crazy... but September is very nice! Much smaller crowds and you can see it a... More

Gee, I would not try to drive to Giverny, spend time there, then head to Rouen - it's a lot of driving, not giving you much time at Giverny & Rouen. I would consider just doing Rouen - it's a good sized city and there's... More
