An eclectic range of non-food items...including the most unlikely...several stalls selling mattresses...I’m trying to imagine the circumstances...More

Such a great market! Cheese, olives, lavender, bread - all kinds of food and more. A beautiful way to spend a late morning, buying ingredients for your next meal or to take home.

A great market with all kind of edible and non edible stuff - there is an amazing range of fruit, vegetables, fruits de mer, nuts and other délicatesses. You feel like you take a step back in time, when you walk from one end of...More

The market in Arles is one of my favourite in Provence. It is large, but not overcrowded, so you are not being jostled out of the way all the time. The range of food is a delight, and you should come with an appetite, as...More

The spectacular Arles market is filled with gorgeous fruit, tomatoes, fish, ham, cheese, bread, paella and more. Made me wish we were renting a house with a kitchen, it would be so easy to pull together a great meal. Plenty of ready made food, all...More

This is by far one of the best outdoor markets we have ever visited! This seemingly endless market offers everything one could hope for. Spend your time sampling the food along the way from cheeses and meats to nougat and fresh macaroons of every flavour....More

We purposefully planned our three-day visit to begin with the Saturday market in Arles and we enjoyed the most beautiful vegetables, cheese, and bread the rest of our stay. Take the time to wander among the stalls and explore the delicious food to be had...More

Whatever you do, try to make sure you’re in Arles for the Saturday market. The stalls on the Boulevard des Lices near the Boulevard Emile Combes range from clothing to knives to makeup to cooking utensils to live chickens and ducks. Farther west and down...More

My advice for anyone interested in the Arles market is to go early. We went on a Wednesday, arriving shortly before 11. The first half of the market (closest to Bvld des Lices) was mostly housewares and clothing. By the time we got to the...More
