Although not easy or guaranteed to see the horses of the Camargue, when they are spotted, it does make the trip worthwhile, to see these beasts roaming and running freely is a once in a lifetime experience, especially so when you can also see the flamingos . a day well spent and very memorable.

I was lucky enough to see the pink flamingos, white horses and the black bulls all in few hours spent in this amazing park.

It's a bit of a drive to get there. It's interesting to see the pink flamingos in the area, as well as a salt mine works. We also went to a local ranch and saw the white stallions and the black bulls. We had lunch at the ranch and watched a demonstration of the young men who are chased by... More

We visited in October so the weather was getting a bit chilly and the flamingoes had apparently started their winter migration but we still saw plenty of them as well as horses and bulls. Definitely worth a drive around or quick tour as it's a unique place. Saint Marie de la Mer was a quaint town as well

Great surprise to venture out of Arles to see this type of landscape. On the surface it looks like marshy wastelands but the roadside produce stalls, the horses and the wetlands with abundant wildlife all make it such an interesting experience. Go when it is calm and not windy.

We went on one of the half day safari tours in the afternoon and found it a very interesting trip over some quite rough roads at times with lots of wildlife to see. Our tour guide was extremely good and gave us quite a lot of history too, as he works with the horses and bulls in winter time. The... More

We took the 4 hour tour of the nature park with a six year old. We should have taken the shorter tour especially with a young child. Interesting to a degree - the tour guide was very knowledgeable and the jeep was fun to ride in with the open top. However, after 3 hours, the tour became a bit repetitive.... More

We have decided to rent bikes for a day. Trail lasts 18 km from the city. I believe it is much nicer in the spring. In August lots of places are dried out. Despitr that it was a nice ride with a good rice beerat the mid point.
