Antibes (originally Sophia-Antipolis) was settled by ancient mariners. Artifacts from shipwrecks and other archeological sites in the area with docent tours in many languages. Highly recommended.

It is a small museum with many local artifacts. There are two rooms with lots of different items and displays. One is free to roam around. There is a small entrance fee, which seemed reasonable. Outside, the top of the building is flat and has...More

6euro for 4 people to look at ancient artefacts is a bargain (children were free). My son and I are both very much into ancient history and we really enjoyed wandering around this small museum and taking in the collection. My basic French was enough...More

It is a smaller museum, but has a lot packed into it. It had interesting content and signs that clearly explained the different cultural influences in Antibes. The building itself is very interesting to be in, and has a lovely view of the sea from...More

If you love prehistory then you will find this place interesting. There are lots of interesting artefacts as well as the remains of the Roman toilets and bread oven. The only downside to this place is there doesn't seem to be an English guide and...More

It was blowing a gale and we wanted to get indoors. The building is beautiful (including Roman loos!). All the exhibits have signs in French to test my residual 'O' level vocabulary but tours are available in other languages. Not big but interesting and well...More

This is not the Louvre or British museum, but a nice local museum with local artifacts. The museum is well laid out and features the early Greek and Roman culture that are an important history of Antibes. Although the displays are all in French it...More

Admission is only 3EUR and it is a short scenic walk from old-town. Everything was written in French only but lots of items are self-explanatory and not difficult to understand. They also had beautiful Glass Art exhibition area by the exit. Nice little museum.

If you're looking for a "quick" museum, this would be it. All writing is in French, so if you do not read French, all you have to do is ask for a tour and they will provide a guided tour in English. The "exhibits" are...More

This little museum is well worth a visit to learn more about the history of Antopolis. Good display of artefacts, amphorae, mosaics. Funereal wall plaques very poignant, really made you think about the people who once lived here. Free tours are available in different languages....More
