The building is well-known as a main site of the Cannes Film Festival. It was built in the 1979, designed by architects Hubert Bennett and Francois Druet, at the location of the old casino near the old port and at the end of the Croisette. It is a nice place to take some photos and have a great fun.

Visiting the Palais des Festival was a great treat, this glorious place reminds you of all the great movies and those who worked hard to make it happens, in adition to that you get to see the hands and the name of all those who were nominated there carved on the ground, intersting to see all these names ornamenting the... Cannes has defined itself in the post war years as a host for events. Of course, there is the Film Festival, commemorated by the handprints of stars, but this facility hosts, TV, design and other events. The desirable location and climate make it a desirable place to hold meetings and fetes.

Enough time to take a selfie with friends. We saw some of the famous people's hand prints. It was short, but enjoyable.

Site of the Cannes film festival you can stand on the red carpet and snap a selfie. Building itself isn't particularly attractive or interesting.

Cannes is famous for its annual film festival beside beautiful beaches and Carlton Hotel. It is located at the end of promenade at the corner of bay. All the tourists coming here get their pictures clicked on the red carpet and with hand prints of famous film personalities. It looks more beautiful in the night. Worth a short visit.

Not a grand building, with no red carpet when there is no Film festival ... :( The only magnificent feature is the hand sculptures of the film stars.

Besides taking photos at the steps & looking at the slightly faded handprints on the floor, we expected so much more. Were quite underwhelmed by what we saw, best thing was that the tourism office was there as well.
