What a blue!

Sunday in March is a good time to visit as it is not crowded and you can really enjoy the exhibits at your own pace with no distractions.

The exhibitions are great but for me the highlight was the sculptures by Nikki de Saint Phalle. Simply extraordinary.

We learned so much about Mitzger and his work. Well curated exhibition. Interesting work in a large space so not at all cramped. Roof top cafe for drinks or lunch.

I like the building which is a piece of contemporary art itself. The exhibition was interesting. The only reason for not enjoying it fully was, that we got SOAKED! But that's another good point for the museum for being there and providing shelter :-)

Fantastic modern building right in the centre of Nice next to the park. Even without all the great modern art it's worth visiting just to see the building, especially the roof top terraces.

This is an attaractive space for displaying art. There was nothing in paarticular that I enjoyed in the exhibits but perhaps my lack of appreciation.

At the time of visit there was a temporary exhibition of It was magnificent event though I am not very into contemporary art. But this helped me to better understand this form of art. Well spent few hours. Also good views from the roof top.

Eclectic collection may not be to everyone taste but there is a little of everything so worth the effort. Make the modern rooftop garden are explored fully as the views towards Mont Boron and the castle/port area are fabulous.

Easy to find and centrally located this awful building houses a fair collection of modern art but with a very good part of what is local modern art and often very good temporary exhibitions.

I've got the opportunity to visit the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art several times these last years as I'm lucky enough to live in Nice. The MAMAC, as it's called in french, is a very interesting and fantastic place to visit. Not to hesitate to get up to the roof of the museum where you will enjoy a great... More
