Much of the area is torn up by construction that rivals the Second Avenue Subway in New York CIty. We were there on a Saturday night coming from the Airport and it was desolate and, frankly, a bit spooky.

Not sure if all the work being done along this area was planned or if it is a result of the terrorist attack, but a lot of work is being done which restricts access in some area. Where the promenade is really wide there is...More

This very long promenade has both pedestrians, cyclists, runners, many cars, busses etc. on the road and swimmers and sunbathers on the beach. It can be a nice experience to enjoy the sea view from there but it can also be too crowded. The stony...More

They are obviously undergoing work on the promenade for improvement, I'm not sure how long it will take. This beach is ideal for parasailing and catching some sun. Unfortunately the rocks do hurt your feet if you want to take a dip in the ocean.

It's a beautiful view and walk from one end to the other but there is a lot of construction going on - I believe they're building a tram line. There weren't a lot of people on the beach since it was March, but there were...More

I thought that I don't like to lay on sand beach but after seeing this beach I changed my mind. There wasnt nice to lay or walk barefoot. I prefer Villafranche sur mer 's beach where the stones are very small. Although water was very...More

The long promenade runs the length of the Nice beaches, set above the beach and back from traffic. It is clean and safe. The shaded benches are a place to rest and reflect. It is a lovely amenity for everyone, so open and yet so...More

Yes most buses go to the start off the promenade but the 52 or 75 will take you to the town so get off just as it turns off the promenade and you can walk to the end

If we rent bikes, are there places to leave the bikes if we want to go into a site or eat at a restaurant? Thanks in advance!
