Chagall planned this museum during his life and therefore it gives a very personal perspective on his work. Easy to reach by bus and well worth the time.

If you like Chagall you can see many of his works here. There is an extensive audio guide for free (need to leave an ID).

The 10 euro entrance fee is reasonable. It is not a large museum, but the displays and explanations were quite informative. It was educational but not overwhelming. I feel like I learned helpful things about Chagall and the type of art he produced.

This musee is "The" Musee about Chagall and built during he was alive: everything was thought by him and built for his works, paintings, ceramics and stained glasses. Highly recommended.

Six rooms with original works from the artist, a wonderful movie in multiple languages telling his life story, and great notes near each of the paintings. Sadly, one of the rooms was closed, but the rest were nice to see and to learn about the...More

Although I'm aware of Marc Chagall I had a very hazy knowledge, something like "Russian who moved to France, lots of blue, some religious content ", but that was all. Now, after a fascinating visit to this museum I have a much better understanding, although...More

It was a very big surprise for us..! It's a very small but beautiful museum. You can live the story of important Catholic moments through the paintings by Marc Chagall. The museum is itself like a big church for the atmosphere you feel.

The Chagall Museum is small, elegant, and worth a quick visit. Of course, it doesn't rank with the other grand museums of Europe, or even America, but the collection is built around 17 paintings illustrating the biblical books of Genesis, Exodus and Song of Songs,...More

Great presentation of Chagall's works. The building is perfect for displaying the works. Park like grounds around the building. There is also a small cafe for pre or post visit drinks and food.

The Chagall Museum is wonderful. I always loved the colors in the paintings, but never really knew all the stories. Having a terrific guide certainly helped me understand the paintings. She was excellent!

No. The cafe at the Chagall museum is very pleasant. You can walk from one to the other but if you see my review of the Matisse museum you won't waste your time. Chagall is between 1 1/2 and 2 hours.
