The museum is nicely set up and the art is interesting - IF you like his style. My visit confirmed that I don't, but that is me. If you do, it is definitely worth the visit and make sure you watch the video about his life. There are also some beautiful stained glass windows in the auditorium and a pleasant... More

I had no idea a collection so extensive and significant is located in Nice; it was a very pleasant surprise. The collection is absolutely stunning, one of the best single-artist galleries I've ever visited. I didn't know too much of Chagall before visiting, but I must say after visiting, I became a great fan. Do not miss it!

Saw seven museums in eight days while on holiday in the Nice area - this one was definitely one of the best! Watching the 1h film projected in the small cinema inside the museum made all the difference, as it helped contextualise the works displayed. A bit biased towards works with religious connotations (as the theme of the museum actually... More

For those who loves Shagall - this is the must! You can really enjoy his huge masterpieces settled in the building he participated to plan and construct! The museum provides with audio guides in many languages with full explanations!

I've visited this place 3 years ago and (not being a biggest fan of Chagall's paintings in general) I loved the museum. The big collection of Chagall's colorful paintings made my day: somehow the combination of Nice, sea, colors of southern France and Chagall's bright palette made me feel wonderful and happy. This year I badly needed a positive recharge... More

An interesting collection of Chagalls work, well laid out and a useful audio guide all contribute to making this a delightful and educational experience. Definitely worth the climb up the hill.

My favourite thing in Nice. I already knew a bit about Chagall having seen the exhibition at The Tate Liverpool in 2013. I fell in love with his work even more. The gallery is a bit of town, but an easy bus trip on the number 15. It's a beautifully designed gallery with free audio guides- they wanted ID in... More

The museum has a permanent collection of biblical-themed art and we saw an additional temporary collection. There is a movie in English and French - it is about an hour and should not be missed. The audio guides included in the admission are excellent and did a great job in helping me to understand the symbolism in the art.
