An attractive and busy square, right in the centre of Nice, close to the old town and bar and restaurants! Very pretty at night and very popular with locals and tourists alike. Several of the bars offering 'happy hour' drinks. Very nice for a drink or a bite to eat to on a hot evening.

This looked a popular place to dine. There were several restaurants mainly outdoor types. Can't say what the food was like.

This is a large attractive area near the old town in Nice. There are the usual statues and fountains to see. Plenty of upmarket hotels and restaurants line the area. A nice place to go on a sunny day.

Must visit for an evening out on streets. Great atmosphere in the evening (going late into the night), street side restaurants are pricey but good. This area has all the drama you would like to see on a good holiday

Place Garibaldi is continuing its evolution towards begin even more wonderful place to meet and greet friends, family and strangers. Many restaurants, cafes and bars and other commerce surround the open central area, which also often hosts antique- / other market stalls. Easy to access with the tram (line 1 and soon line 2)and close to other wonderful sights of... More

A very big square. In sunny days it´s like colorful flower - and full of people, tourists and locals. There are many lovely restaurants. Take your place, maybe cold beer or glass of wine, and enjoy real French Riviera spirit. And remember: you are surround by very different buildings. But: not must place in Nice.

A beautiful square full of tables & umbrellas and in the colder weather, outdoor heaters. Just take time to sit and watch the world go by with a coffee or a cold drink in hand. Plenty of choice for eating and not expensive for an enjoyable lunch. As with the rest of Nice, clean and tidy, no rubbish or graffiti... More

Place Garibaldi is somewhat of the beginning of the Old Town of Nice. It's interesting enough (especially the building with the painted facade), but the thing is, there's nothing much to do here - hence the three stars.

A good place to be. Place Garibaldi is one of the few spots in Nice where if the sun is out you can be in it in one of the restaurants. In the evenings if it's chilly most will have space heaters. People are there to be outside- the food is not remarkable, mostly standard fare (pasta pizza, salads, over-priced... More
