We went to the Musee des Beaux Arts one morning as it was close to the apartment we had rented. The museum has some fine works for art by Jules Cheret, and Gustav Mossa, among others. I was not familiar with these artists, and was...More

Not much happening here. The collection is small and not that important. Maybe they do a better job with visiting exhibitions. Otherwise, you can skip this museum. The most stunning thing about this museum is the outside. It looks like a great villa.

This museum has a fine collection of art and decoration in a beautiful building. The setting is peaceful and not too crowded.

Big. mostly empty and rather neglected building. A very eclectic and mediocre collection of art. Some nice Dufy's though and some quaint local painters. Some interesting Villas in the small streets adjacant to the museum.

We wanted to try a new museum that we had not visited before...and this is an interesting one. It is in a very nice neighborhood -- between the center of Nice and the Airport, not that far off the Promenade Anglais. Parking is a challenge...More

Some of the ratings say, it is worn-off, I would say, that this museum has a lovely charm - it is not brand new and modern, but shows a certain Grandezza of past times and beautiful architecture - and has, as I found, very nice...More

If you bought the local museum card you might as well pop in. The symbolist Gustav Adolf Mossa is more fun than good, but better than the rest.

A short walk -- easiest from the bus stop on Rue de France, leading over a large square and then uphill through the back garden gates to this distinguished mansion, about 250 meters. Otherwise via Avenue des Baumettes, approx. 400 meters. Of all the museums...More

I live less than a block away, and usually just walk the dog in the charming park, but the beautiful, decaying building houses some great art. Many unexpected works, including some household names, housed in a stunning building that just cries out to be restored.

What does Wed - Mon mean? Does that mean the museum is only open on Wednesday and Monday or that it is open every day but Tuesday?
