While the A R Peck exhibit is on, unless that is what you are drooling to see, DO NOT GO!! There are 4, yes 4, paintings from the permanent collection on view and, in my opinion, they are not the best. All the other space, rooms and rooms of it, is given over to Peck. Interesting but ... it is... More

If you are interested in the relationship between the gallery and the art it presents, don't miss this. I nearly didn't go as some reviews were not great. It is a wonderful gallery and garden where art is enhanced by the surroundings. To see the work of Braque, Chagall and Miro as part of the building was a privilege. The... More

Quirky and varied collection of works by world class artists - Chagall, Giacometti etc. Interesting building in a pleasant garden, with sculpture works exhibited outside. Nice cafe.

The Fondation Maeght is one of my most loved museum. I have visited it 6-5 times and never failed to enjoy my visit. The things I like about the Maeght are: The grounds: lovely, manicured and filled with art and glimpses of the countryside around it. The building: Just perfect. Blends with the art and the view. Never domineering over... More

A gem of a place, with some unique pieces, well located, ample parking and very nice gardens. Staff could be a bit friendlier.

My wife and I are into art museums and this is a wow even if modern art isn't your thing. The background story is compelling! The buldings, grounds, and layout of the art is terrific. It is a strenous walk from the village.

I first visited this gallery nearly 40 years ago so it has nostalgic memories for me. It is a lovely setting, and a distinctive building. A lovely tranquil place to wander around and view some iconic pieces of artworks/ sculpture. It has a personal touch to it and a uniqueness.

I agree with previous reviewers that the setting is tranquil and beautiful. However, my suggestion is that you wander around the local countryside for free, rather than waste E15 per person on this modern art museum. Quite frankly, it was the worst art exhibition that I have ever visited. The outdoor art was laughably bad, and inside was little better.... More

A great building, beautiful site, masterpieces on show - but could have been so much better. Firstly, access. We got the 400 bus from Nice which took one hour and was a pleasant trip, tremendous value at €1.50. The Fondation website does not mention that it is a stiffish climb of about 15 minutes from the stop to the entrance... More
