I spend 2 weeks in Marseille and I like to walk along the old port everyday in the morning. There is Fete de Noel, winter market, along the port during winter season. You can also find other activities there like fish market, flower market or even street music.

Our cruise stopped off for the day. The old port is lovely and vibrant with lots of bars and restaurants, the sun was shining which made the trip enjoyable. We took the tut tut train up the mountain which was excellent value for money. The area was lovely and we would definitely stay for a long weekend break.

No visit to Marseille would be complete without visiting the old port. There are dozens of restaurants located around the port and the views from both sides are amazing.

I guess every tours it comes here. It is pricey but cool to visit. We enjoyed ourselves ... but then left to see the "real" city (locals)

Lovely place for a walk and see the yachts, motor launches and fishermen..Interesting mirror cover giving shade from blustering sunshine.

The vast scale of this harbour and many facets is bewildering. The ancient port exudes charm, one wonders just when thes yachts actually are used?

From where we were dropped off til the time we were picked up, we enjoyed every minute of it. The port has much history to tell. The surrounding buildings were a sight to see. Imperially incredible! Went to a little crepe restaurant on the southside of the port. It was excellent!
