The monument is beautiful, but the place where it is located is a square with no good conditions. When I have been there, the square has been in restoration.

Need to be careful in this place. Marseille is amazing, but I realized my bag was opened and this guy was just behind me with his friend. I yelled at the guy and chased after the guy and he returned the wallet with no money...More

Arc de Triomphe ( Porte d'Aix ) is historical place and must see while visiting Marseille. You will see the arch from all sides and notice the statues of Napoleon.

Honestly, it is an arch like all others. If you are passing by, go. Otherwise, just visit something else more interesting.

An arch in the middle of a building site, can't get close enough to see this properly. No signage, even temporary. Only came across this by accident, glad we didn't make a special trip but it was nice to see.

The Arc itself looks impressive, but sadly the whole area surrounding it is under construction so it's inaccessible...plus the neighbourhood it's in seems a little run down, I didn't feel too safe wondering around there. Hopefully it's being restored to its former glory and the...More
