We went to the Grands Montets, its. Very impressive view at more than 3,000 meters. Amazing "glaciers" around, but the trip is very expansive, almos 30 euros per person...

I think I liked this better than the Aiguille Du Midi because it felt less rush and it was certainly less crowded. I had time to take in the views without reacting to the rush of other tourists and the sight of alpine climbers clinging...More

We took the cable car to the top, stood on the glacier and hat a mountain to picnic, amazing! A must for all who travel to the area.

The view from this mountain is better than the one near the Mont Blanc. There is no queue, the view us amazing, you can see the Mont Blanc and other mountains around. Really recommended.

Next best thing to Vallee Blanche. Aiguille du Midi was not open due to dangerous snow conditions. Le Grands Montets almost as high.Must have experienced guide and equipment to ski down the glacier. 2000 vertical metres descent.Great experience.

You can go up to the Aiguille du Midi at 3800 m where there is a lift to the summit. However you will need to be standing up while taking the cable car. Otherwise you can take the Train to the Montenvers where you can admire... More

There are some ski hire places but wether they provide a boot room, I'm not sure.
