I have been home from my one month trip to Europe for about a week and the memory that stands out the most is my time in Chamonix. This is largely because I started my time off there by going for a walk with Theresa. Theresa is somewhat of an anthropologist and teaches you about the people of Chamonix Valley.... More

Found Teresa here on Tripadvisor. I am not a skier so I was looking for interesting things to do while the group skied. I wish I had been able to connect with her at the beginning of my trip. Her tour was so interesting and I learned so much about the town, the architecture and culture.

I recently spent a wonderful afternoon with Teresa Kaufman on one of her photographic walking tours of Chamonix. A wonderful mix of local history within a photographic lesson, all the while wondering the beautiful village of Chamonix. A snow shower whilst out walking only added to the experience and photos! Teresa shared insights about the history of Chamonix and hidden... More

What a fabulous afternoon spent with Teresa walking in the fresh soft powdered snow. Teresa patiently showed me how to take better photos using my iPhone in addition to walking around hidden gems of Chamonix. Our day consisted of a train journey, a private lunch in a wooden refuge in front of a cosy fire a history lesson and great... More

This is 'slow' tourism and nothing like a 'If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium' tour, as Teresa takes the time to explain history and background during her walks. She'll offer insight that only a local can and show you places that most tourist never have the chance to see. For example during our walk we got to meet a... More

I had such a wonderful and memorable custom walk with Teresa this summer. She is a gem, so knowledgeable, and she will introduce you to hidden life and culture in the countryside around Chamonix or the city itself. Teresa is also a wonderful teacher and photography guide--and even though photography was not my reason for wanting to go on the... More

Teresa is a real gem. We were a very mixed ability group both in photographic skills and fitness levels and Teresa took this all into consideration with her thoughtful planning of our expedition. The photowalk was in Les Houches area and Teresa pointed out things that we would have just walked past and not even noticed, one minute we were... More

Last Friday my family and I took a photography walk with Teresa through the amazingly beautiful Trelechamp plateau. We got much more than we expected especially because we had two little girls and a baby walking with us and they had the time of their lives, playing around in the igloos and on the snow! Teresa apart from being an... More

I recently took a photography class/walking tour with Teresa through Vallorcine, France, because I wanted to brush up on my photography skills. I certainly got that -- and more. Our tour started in Chamonix's farmers' market, and I jokingly referred to her as the "Mayor of Chamonix", because everyone came up to say hello to her! I learned so much... More

Whether you're looking for some help to improve your photographs or just want to ensure you have some nice pictures of Chamonix to take home, a half-day lesson with Teresa is a great idea. She's kooky, easy going, offers guidance without being dogmatic and is just a fun companion for a few hours. I highly recommend!
