The hotel, on one of the main streets in the Old Town, consists of a number of Renaissance period buildings joined together. Previous uses of the buildings include a period as a monastery. Saw a couple of completely different rooms. Suspect that most, if not...More

We had read a lot about the Traboules of Lyon so were very pleased when the guide who did the Lyon city tour took us through multiple passageways and explained the different layouts and their restoration in the last few years. These secret passageways are...More

A fantastic building, traboule, hotel and cafe on rue du Boeuf. A lovely street in vieux Lyon that boasts several hotels and restaurants and this site is exceptional.

Who would know this was there unless told by a local. Wonderful to explore, evidence of a past era. Just need to remember to respect the fact that it leads to private homes.

Incredibly joining different buildings, different styles of architecture. Some were closed and therefore we could not visit.

We did not do a specific tour of the traboules but our guide on our city walk included a few. Really interesting from an architectural and history point of view., The Resistance used them extensively.

I would come back to this hotel a million times. It's dark and historical and moody and luxurious--from the bar to the spa to the rooms to the restaurant. And the staff was so incredibly courteous, in every sense of the word--from directing our car...More
