This is a street of bouchons and difficult to tell the difference between them. We went into Chez Maman (at place Bellecour end) and were not disappointed. Staff were very welcoming, food was excellent and my gluten free requests were dealt with sans probleme. It is also great value. We returned a few nights later having been less successful in... In between the two rivers near Place Bellecour, small streets of mixed shops and eating places. Quite lively at night.

Just off the Place Republique and not far from the Place Bellecour, this street has many traditional Lyon restaurants known as "bouchons". Many are not open till after 7pm. Good location for several restaurant choices, all with menus posted and many with prix fixe menus of the day.

...if you're in Lyon. You can't not! It's a pleasant enough street with loads of restaurants. Many lovely ones. Touristy, but to be expected.

One of my favourite places in Lyon just to walk down, there are so many different restaurants to pick from! The knack to finding one you want is to decide on the type of food you want to eat and then pick the place as they are typically french in only offering very few dishes on each menu

Great food and a beautiful walk! However, it is close to the main center and a tad bit touristy. For those who really want local food, its best to adventure a bit further north. Otherwise, such an adorable place!

I cant imagine this area is a favorite with city residents. It seems one of those places that grows to meet tourist demands for Lyonnaise cuisine. It has a certain ambiance but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it or eat there. It is just too crazy and inconvenient..

... but nothing particularly special. It's easy enough to get to and worth going by on the way to more special places.
