After you enter the main entrance hall of this art museum in the centre of Freiburg, you are blown away by the colonnade of statuary and gargoyles recovered from the Munster (Cathedral). The effect is magnified as you walk up several levels of stairs to...More

The building itself is really nice and so is the lay-out of the museum with beautiful medieval art and also some beautiful 19th century paintings. When I was there they had a really great exhibition on National Socialism in Freiburg - well worth a visit.

Fabulous art works, especially sculptures removed from the Munster at Freiburg - exquisitely displayed. Must visit again.

A very interesting museum in a very creatively renovated historical building. Everything is perfectly exposed. Of particular interest the temporary exposition of the Nazi period in Freiburg. Don't miss it.

A bit of a hodgepodge, showing objects and art from the middle ages right up to the 20th century. Watch out for the exhibition "Freiburg during the Third Reich" opening in October.
