Too cold! Beautiful small village, when we visited the waterfalls was snowing so it wasn't possible to go up to the last level. Tip.. Best period to visit on Christmas there are million Christmas lamps and the landscape is magical.

Triberg is a town in the Black Forest famous for two things. The first is its many shops selling cuckoo clocks, some of which are huge emporiums with a wide range of clocks, most are pretty kitsch and frankly tasteless but some are quite tasteful. There is wide range of prices to suit every budget. The second is the Triberger... More

Going to the highest point of the waterfalls was tiring but was rewarding. The physical strength, stamina, and a deep desire for viewing an attraction from different angels made our visit easy, great and wonderful. It was so thrilling to watch water plunges 535 feet (163 meters) deep into the Gutach River roaring and foaming. Claimed to be highest in... More

Even in the cold foggy weather the hike was easy and scenic. My husband and I walked all the way to the top in dressier shoes and it was no problem. I wouldn't recommend anything high-heeled but I was wearing a dress boot and was completely fine. There are plenty of great lookouts that provide for beautiful photo opportunities.

We took some great photos at the waterfall, but were disappointed to learn (after paying the entrance fee) that most of the hike path was blocked off. Only cost €2 per adult so no big deal, but be aware.

Wandered to see the waterfall during our stay in Gengenbach in late November. Was very easy to find and was a lovely day out even if it was a bit foggy and chilly! Having the konus card meant free travel within the Black Forest area which encouraged us to go exploring and admission to the waterfall was very cheap ..... More

For a lot of tourists Triberg is the place to visit in the black forest. It has the typical houses, cuckoo clocks and a beautiful surrounding nature. The waterfalls are the main attraction of the town and especially in summer it can get rather crowded. For me the waterfalls are not really spectacular, but if you only got a little... More

This place is beautiful. I would classify this as an easy hike. I did it with my 2 year old on my back (30lbs) and was just cleared by my doc after shoulder surgery. I also had my 5 year old and the wife with me. If you are into Pokémon Go like my son and I are, this hike... More

I was told before going that it wasn't spectacular and it may even be a little on the dry side because of the season. So, I went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The hike is nice and the falls add to the beauty of the surroundings. It is made of a series of cascades. They have bridges and... More

The temperatures have not fallen so the amount of rain made this waterfall twice the normal size. Beautiful.
