The highlight of Heidelberg. Well worth to stroll around and drink some white wine on many bars and restaurants in the central parts. It is not so expensive and a lot of ice cream places also :)

Not sure if I have visited too many of these such towns, but the Old Town is not the original. A replica town, rebuilt as some other reviewers have stated. Perhaps if you haven't seen one, then visit. If you have, I personally found it...More

A must visit for every traveler touring Europe. Heidelberg offers a historic old town which was not destroyed during WWII like many other German cities. Famous for its old town, castle, river bridge and Germany's first and oldest university.

Closer to hauptstrasse, worth a walk and know the neighborhood. There are a lot of things to do nearby. Restaurants, coffee, rotisseries, etc.

We really enjoyed our day here. There are many cafes and shops down every street below the castle. The bridge crossing the river is ver beautiful and so are the gates.
