This is a beautiful church opposite to the Town Hall. There are shops around it with a history of why shops were allowed. One can also climb up the tower to get a view of the city. Inside the prayer hall is also beautiful. Enjoyed...More

This church is the most imposing monument in front of the town hall in Heidelberg. There are two clear demarcations for worship by Catholic and Protestants. Inside the church are majestic stained glass windows. This is a must visit for tourists to study not only...More

This church dominates the Marktplatz in Heidelberg and is located opposite the town hall. It is beautiful inside. The acoustic is great for organ recitals. Entrance is free but if you want to climb the tower there's a small charge.

This church has music recitals and is a living local church. A very handsome building, with some beautiful stained glass.

Beautiful on the outside, average on the inside. The best location in town as all the churches always have.

The church stands in the same place where a romanesque basilica stood in the thirteenth century. Unfortunately that original church burnt down. When a gothic church was constructed it was smaller than the present one. Ruprech III had the building enlarged to the present size....More

This is a very large cathedral dating back to 1398 when construction began. I highly recommend climbing the Bell Tower for great views of Altstadt and Heidelberg Castle. I think it cost 2 Euro for an adult and climb is challenging but worth it.
