We had a really great time with two kids (4 and 9 years old). Very fun and educational experience. You get to see impressive salt mines while riding on a small train, go down the slope and riding on a salt lake inside the mines. Recomended!

This tour was one of those things that you should totally do. It was interesting and fun and the boat road was a slow motion version of the Willy Wonka boat ride which was super cool. And who wouldn't want to wear a cool jumpsuit, ride a train and go down some wooden sides all while learning about salt? We... More

This is a fun event for the entire family. Very interesting to see how the salt is mined and how it has changed over the years. The slide is the high point for the kids--fun for the adults as well. Well worth a trip for this outing.

If you're in Salzburg, Austria or just passing through, this is a worth while, 1/2 day jaunt. The salt mine tour is very interesting and a lot of fun! First you suit up in a jumpsuit then you ride a tram into the mountain to begin your tour. Incorporated into the adventure are slides, various stations with mining history and... More

You can see the machine used to extract the salt and they give a nice overview of how the salt is extracted. I attended the Deutsch session and we had a audio guide. There are 2 rides which you have probably seen in the picture . There is one boat ride too. It was quite interesting

Had a great time here with adult members of my family. A really-good tour and a fun tram ride, deep into the salt mines. Followed up by two long wooden slides which made us all feel like kids again! Definitely will recommend and come back to again!

This has to be one of the best and most organised tours we have been on. You are best to book online prior to arrival and you get to select your tour time at €16.50 each. We think great value, you get overalls to wear, informative free audio aids, underground train ride. You also get the opportunity to slide down... More

The Audio guide ensured that we got the Basics of the saltmine. It was a well done experience from beginning to end with two slides, a boat ride, and Train Transportation down into the mine and back up. Highly recommend ordering tickets online.
