Great place to visit. Loads of history. Great fun for all. Restaurant first class food. Very interesting to learn that salt was known as white gold and back in the day had more value. I took my wife as it was raining that day. Others said I really know how to treat my lady on our wedding anniversary 😂. Sending... More

For everybody who have been never in a mine it is very interesting. From my point of view it is a bit to much just show (with projection at the wall / roof). But I believe other visitors will really enjoy. It is a must visit if you are in the area. but it is not as fancy as somebody... More

Traveled with a large group, but once you enter you are with a large group anyhow. A little cool and dark but interesting, a well put-together guided visit that is good for most ages. If you are in the area and have the time it is worth seeing.

It is a fun and educational tour of the salt mines, with some nice additionnal 'show' effects, which make the tour less boring.

First read "The Monuments Men" then take this tour. It was raining and snowing the day we went and it was a very interesting tour out of the inclement weather. The history is translated into many different languages through an electronic device and the tour leader speaks in german. Very informative and educational. Fun too!!

Looking at the entrance, I was skeptical of having paid so much for the entry. But the tour and the amount of info was well worth it. Highlight was the boat trip and the light show on a brine lake underground! Thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

We had a great visit to the salt mines with our 2 and 4 year old. We questioned whether or not they would be too little for the tour, but it was very suitable for them. They had little coverall outfits for the little kids, and what could be more perfect than a tour that includes two train rides, two... More

This was so fun! Even in February there were loads of people so get there early. You put on coveralls and ride a train into the heart of one of the salt chambers. There are two slides along your tour and ends with a fun gift shop.

We went to the salt mine in Berchtesgarden and it was a fantastic tour. There is a little something for everyone on this tour. You start by putting on coveralls so you don't ruin your clothes and you hop on a little miners train to go to the start of the tour. This tour was well laid out. Excellent use... More
