Just one stop before the main airport S-Bahn is Besucherpark which is the airport visitor centre. A 5 minute walk from the station you will find a large shop, toilets, a restaurant, an observation "pyramid" and the highlight is the 3 aircraft, Ju-52, DC-3 and Constellation. For just 1 Euro you can walk very closely around to the 3 aircraft... More

So the first thing to say is that its massive - there are 2 terminals with a shuttle and loads of escalators and open areas. Beware if your gate is a he other end of the airport it will take you some time!! I flew in and out with Lufthansa and it was seamless both arrival and departures but it... More

This airport must be the best in Europe, staff are so friendly and obliging and the place is spotlessly clean. There are some top end luxury shops, Gucci, Bvlgari, Porsche Design and even a surfing pool between terminal 1 and 2, AWESOME. My EasyJet flight was perfect, friendly chatty staff, take of and arrived on time, normal priced food unlike... More

We visited Munich Airport for our trip to Oktoberfest. The Airport is huge with many places to eat, drink and shop. The canapee section of the airport inbetween T2 and the train station is very impressive and currently houses a wave machine great airport.

Went there last summer. Really worth it. Look on the airport's app to check out the flights that are scheduled to come in and depart, so you are ready to shoot great pics

I had quite a lot of time before my flight and the weather was not too bad hence decided to drop by. Was a good experience. Expended some Euro coins to go up the observatory spot to look at the planes taking off and landing.

Gate G 44 First row to the right of the gate: the power outlets do not work. So much for high tech Germany

Finally, someone who understands plane spotters designed a place and knew what he/she was doing. Enough said! Bring euro coins to pay for admission to the viewing mound, and at a minimum a 400mm lens for full-frame shots.
