Part of the old city boundary wall, very similar to Karlstor except that there are three gates here with some paintings above. Nice to admire but you won't spend long here!

I remember passing through the Isator, but it was not a highlight. If you are going to the Marienplatz and other sights in central Munich you will pass the Isartor.

Just check if you pass there but nothing to visit. Just you know that you are a the limit of the old city !!!

Isator is a gate which is good to visit if you are passing by, but nothing more to see or do here. History lovers may probably love it.

Not much is remaining of what was the wall that encircled Munich in the middle ages. But the Isartor is one of the towers from that time, it is very very old (1200 or so?) and in great condition.

The Isartor dates back to the the 1300s and is part of the early fortification of Munich. It provides a number of photo opportunities and is worth visiting at least once. It is located about four blocks from Marienplatz.

Yoy see part of the memorable and decorative fortification of the new city of Munich, set in the early 1800, after a cotastrophic fire. The Bavarians are proud for thir little river, Isar, a really beautiful river that runs between green field and bushes and...More

An accurate reconstruction of the south gate to the old medieval city, it is pretty and hints at the city's history. Good for a 5-minute picture stop.
