Often overlooked because of the nearby and much larger English Garden, the Hofgarten is worth visiting. It is located between the English Garden and the Residenz and provides several photo opportunities. It is open free to the public.

We had a little wander round this park. There are lawns, separated by gravel paths. The best bit was listening to the talented violinist who was busking in the folly in the centre. Apparently there are often people playing here.

It's a lovely place for those seeking some nature and calm in the city. It's also filled with fountains, benches and interesting architecture.
